Messes and Masterpieces

We are fortunate to have a wonderful business in town called Messes and Masterpeices. They provide classes and creative space for kids. We invited them to do a Teen program for us where the kids could build a city of their own design.

Materials were set out and and after a short brainstorm session, the kids chose their materials and set to work.

After they finished their cities, we ate ice cream and each person explained what kind of environment they created.

Starry Starry Night

Summer is finally here! We were excited to have a wonderful, sunny day for our first teen event of the summer. Cynthia prepared canvases for everyone and each canvas included a portion of the Starry Night painting by Van Gogh. The teens recreated the painting and it now hangs in the Teen Room at our library as part of the decoration for summer.

Then we feasted on sundaes that were also works of art!
